ALBUM REVIEW: Cherish-The Truth

It's easy to notice Cherish aren't reinventing the wheel on their new album, The Truth. Surprise, an R&B album that tries to show off it's street cred with a mush-mouth rapper. This one, at least, starts with the crap as Yung Joc shred the otherwise good "Killa." Although, I'm betting "Killa" will be huge.
The next track, however, brings back the good old days of TLC and "No Scrubs." "I Ain't Trippin'" is a fun, trashy track that'll sound great blasting on the stereo of your VW Beetle Convertible.
And that's kind of the modus operandi of the whole album. Fun and trashy tracks. A great album to release as classes are ending. The kind of easy to listen to album that makes a great summer soundtrack.
Oh, and I forgot, I'm sure I'm the last person in America to know this. But Cherish is made up of four sisters. So they are also promoting family values along with their enjoyability factor.
The Truth won't live on like a Gladys Knight album. I mean, who still listens to their Destiny's Child albums? Our 21st-century version of R&B is completely throwaway. So, Cherish tracks like "Only One" and "Love Sick" are great for the moment.
